The Environment Department
You cannot truly write about a forest until you have spoken to and interviewed its trees.
- Flora Meadows, Environment Department Editor
Do you like getting lost in the woods? Looking at the sky? Feeling the waves of the ocean crash over your feet? Or how about finding ways to reduce waste? Living in places free from pollutants? Or knowing what the weather will be like so you can dress comfortably in the morning? Then the Environment Department of The New Glabe Gazette is here for you.
Everything from the weather, the best places to go hiking, to all the reasons why you really should stop using metal utensils on non-stick pans, the Environment Department really does it all. If it may conceivably fall under the category of environment, it will be written about by the Environment Department.
Department Head, Flora Meadows, is about as relaxed as a section editor for The New Glabe Gazette can be. Known largely for her unconventional methods, she encourages her writers to really get out there, lie on the ground, and become one with the world around them.
Flora will happily tell the young writers in her department about how her journalism degree helped her work her way up to her current position at the newspaper, but truly it was her years spent living in a commune after college that made her a great environment writer. She may even encourage those writers to quit their jobs and go live alone in the woods for a few years if they want to become great themselves.
