About: Alon H. is an investigative photojournalist at the New Glabe Gazette. Ze has been at the Gazette working for the Politics department for three years now, and is known for striking photos that reveal the inner lives of politicians. Alon H. is particularly focused on the Crowns, but has been on assignments for the other parties.
Ze does not write very long articles: they are very succinct and keeps the attention on the photos ze took.
Alon has light brown skin, brown eyes, and black hair. Ze wears a newsboy cap, and a combination of blue and brown clothes. Ze is never seen without zyr camera, which has been the same camera for the three years ze has been at the Gazette. Ze often uses camera/photography-specific jargon in casual conversation and thinks that everyone understands zem. (Ze has sometimes been seen to talk to zyr camera.)

About: Anette, or Nettie as most people call her, has been working at the new Glabe Gazette before some of the other employees learned to crawl. She’s a friendly 60 something year old who’s much more frequently seen chatting than doing her work; her articles are nothing special, and as of recently they’ve been going even more downhill. Her joyful disposition is only overshadowed by her bright clothing, though she is a little less than friendly than some members of the economics department.

About: Avery Damask was once a rising star in the Seldona film scene, recognised all over for their roles as ingenues and dancers. They married famed director Douglas Crawford during the peak of their career, hence why many still know them as Avery Crawford, but following a sudden shift in their dynamic, a divorce was quickly set in motion, and Avery's acting career was permanently retired. Since then, they joined The New Glabe Gazette as a fashion correspondent and a damned good one at that. In the 16 years they have been in this position, they have developed a reputation for their biting wit, exacting standards, and mastery of the fashion world. “Ice witch,” “dragon”, and “cut-throat fury” are some of the kinder names this jaded reporter has been given over the years and, despite the complaints and intensive practice, none can deny that Avery is a master of their craft.

About: Since the start of her internship at the Economics department, 2 weeks ago, Bronwyn has made herself quite known at the Gazette, although perhaps not for the right reasons. Her daily sneers over the coffee machine, eye rolls at the mention of any work-related tasks, and utter disdain of her coworkers has not made her the most popular at the office. While her eccentric clothes and quirky makeup may have tricked many into thinking she was approachable, her larger-than-life attitude quickly dispelled this rumour. Some in the office have occasionally attempted to suck up to her, grasping every opportunity to network and hopefully connect with the daughter of Viscount Davenport.

About: Captain Flounder, or simply ‘The Captain’, is an old hand at the New Glabe Gazette. Even the newest interns will recognise his distinctive nautical attire and propensity to fly into furious rages peppered with colourful insults, and his characteristic curse ‘millions of murderous maroon mussels!’ echoes constantly well beyond his native Environment Department. In his youth the Captain was a well-known figure in journalistic circles following the release of his multi-award-winning masterpiece, 'Mighty Rick’, about his experiences hunting a giant whale. A changed man after his ordeal, he has single-mindedly pursued targets in the illegal whaling and fishing industries since then, promising every week that he’s about to get a bite and that something big is coming. But, so far, no damning expose has surfaced, and the Captain sullenly churns out weekly articles on topics such as butterfly conservation and local recycling initiatives, only fueling his constant rages.

About: Constantyne used to be a flagship investigative journalist with Features. He scooped all the big stories, the exposés, the daredevil journalistic stunts. Until one day, something happened. While he was undercover, working on his next big story, something went wrong, referred to by the rest of the office only as 'the toy incident'. He has never been the same since. He was quickly transferred to Politics when it became clear he couldn't handle another Feature. His extensive experience and sharp writing was sure to be to the department's benefit. Only one problem: Constantyne knows absolutely nothing about the inner workings of politics.

About: Drusilla has been working here for about a year, usually flying under the radar in her corner desk in the economics department. But isn't she just the friendliest, most helpful person when asked for advice? Drusilla's always ready for a coffee and a chat when an article isn't turning out well. She'll even write it for you! Even if this does mean the article turns out to be…well…you can't say she isn't a team player no matter what she ends up writing.

About: Elodie likes to chat music and motorbikes. She's a carefree spirit around the office, welcoming newcomers and helping others out with little and big problems alike: from cups of coffee to whole research projects. Despite the fact that she's always happy to chat, she's equally happy to sit with the crossword on her own. She doesn't speak much about herself and is a bit of a mystery in some ways: where she lives, who with, or what she does in her free time aren't well known by the gossip-mongers. Elodie moves at her own pace, usually slower than what's around her, and yet she never seems to miss a deadline. Her name can be found printed at the bottom of articles for the environment department. Elodie specialises in wolves, and writes about them probably more often than she should. She's turning 30 this year.

About: Laurentius Abberfraw, the 27 year old brother of the prominent Duke of Abberfraw, is a diligent member of the New Glabe Politics Department. While initially they wrote from a fairly pro-crown perspective, over the past 3 years their writing has become much more unbiased. Laurentius’ success is connected both to his powerful familial ties and his observant nature, two crucial traits for covering politics. Physically, Laurentius stands around 200cm, wears black suits almost exclusively, and is known for his advanced, sometimes pretentious, diction. Those who have been at the New Glabe for a long time also remember Laurentius’ condescending nature, but as he has matured into his career that seems to have vanished.

Now that used to be *the* lifestyle. A recognised movie superstar lifestyle that is of the one – the only – Manuel Maximillian Manwell. ‘Manny’ is fine though, its part of the brand you see.
Cheery, relaxed and surprisingly aloof – Manny has been at The New Glabe Gazette for a couple odd years now – glad to recount many of his past adventures (or rant about the corruption of the film industry).
Famous superstar actor, responsible for such famous portrayals such as Sandomir in the hit saga Princess of the Dragons? *Check*
Well-known celebrity and eldest son of the legendary movie director and philanthropist Mister Manwell? *Check*
Daring treasure hunter under the persona of ‘The Maverick’? Accomplished pilot? Bold stuntman? *Check*. *Check*. And *Check*.
Now, long past his younger prime – it is time for the final step. To finalise this legacy, putting pen to paper.

About: The story of Odyssey is one most in the office know well. An ever-present figure in the office for many, he's been there to see the beginning and the end of many careers at the bustling Gazette. Some remember him from his younger years, a hotshot Features reporter who, like many others, was desperate to prove himself in the fires of the Gazette, searching for that fated scoop that would make him the next big name. Others know him from later on, already having made his name, no longer all too bothered with the drama and the rush. But everyone knows Odyssey, the laid-back, coffee-loving, wise-in-his-own-way reporter who always greets you with a smirk and a well-meaning question about your day.

About: Seriffe S. Lemmings is an enthusiastic person, if not the most enthusiastic reporter – despite constantly appearing to be hard at work they very rarely seem to have anything to actually hand in.
However, he clearly idolises the New Glabe Gazette, and newspapers in general. Anyone who has taken any time at all to speak with him for more than a minute on the subject will realise that Seriffe holds one great belief: everything that is published in a newspaper must be true.
This is not a moral, but a true deep belief; if you try to point out an inaccuracy in a newspaper Seriffe will become quite anxious and quickly leave the conversation.
Also, Seriffe hasn’t been seen in a little while…

About: Simon got yelled at by Style this week for tying webs of string across their entire office overnight, making it impossible to move through—to ‘track ley-line interference,’ he said. It’s not so bad as last week, when he saged the supply closet to cleanse bad energy and set off all the fire alarms. He logged this in his journal as a ‘hostile encounter.’
Simon’s news reports are clear and incisive, and his historical expertise in particular is invaluable in helping the Gazette contextualize current events within the broader timeline. However, his drafts are always returned to him without fail, red pen scratching out whenever he mentions that the former Prime Minister’s ghost possessed so-and-so MP during their speech, or that the deciding vote was clearly cast by a deceased Wig member. He hasn’t been fired yet: once all the paranormal stuff gets edited out, his reports really are quite good.

About: While not the most diligent or reliable journalist, Sora makes do. A few years back, she joined the New Glabe Gazette in the Economics Department. She's often found slumped at her desk as if asleep instead of doing any work, and yet she still find the time to write articles… She rarely gets too close with others; those that she was close with in the past say Sora can be ‘weird’ and ‘a liar’, but with those that she isn’t that close with, she generally seem to be ‘pretty chill’. For whatever reason, when she talk in person, they seem to be uncertain about many things.

About: T.T.Thompson; experienced detective. Kicked from the New Glabe Police Department for refusing to let go of a case 5 years ago, he’s now in the New Glabe Gazette’s features department. He can often be found standing in a dramatic location staring off into the distance, a cigarette in hand, fedora always on. If you stand close enough you’ll hear one of his monologues, saying how dark and unforgiving the world is, how the streets aren’t safe anymore, declaring that he’ll never rest, he’ll never stop searching until he finds the criminal who took his partner away from him. About: It has been said that Victor has never seen the sun. That is, among those who realize he works here. Often mistaken for the janitor or IT guy and wholly uninterested with the functioning of any other department (or most current events), he works designing newspaper puzzles with a feverish passion that some find off-putting. People learned to give him space after he threatened to include someone’s home address in the daily word search.
