Goose Guy: A New Glabe Hope

The New Glabe Gazette can exclusively reveal that there are two people masquerading under the identity of ‘Goose Guy’. The pair are brothers – one friendly, one criminal – who have fought over the goose persona for years.

Now, Good Goose Guy is coming on the record to share his side of the story in a detailed piece written by distinguished journalist T. T. Thompson. This is Thompson’s last piece at the Gazette, before he begins a new chapter as a founding member of investigative newspaper The Seldonan Stakeout.

T. T. Thompson can’t help but cough as he pulls the faded coverings off the windows, sending a shower of dust into his face. Light spills into the huge space, illuminating the mess of this disused office on Fifth Avenue. Goose Guy (‘Tom’, to his friends) grabs some brooms, tossing them to Constantyne and Thompson. There is a lot of work that needs to be done here, yes, but there is so much potential.

Second-hand tables and chairs, a few pot plants donated by former colleagues, a hat stand for two fedoras and a goose mask… the place comes together slowly but surely.

As they begin to sell papers, the budget increases. Elodie gets her own lab. Eventually, the space is transformed and a promising newspaper is born.

The Stakeout grows, going from strength to strength, but it never forgets its core principles: to look out for the little guy and make the world a better place.
